โครงการบีจีซี รักษ์น้ำ

Initiated in 2018, the project is to promote conservation and restoration of water resources in the communities around BGC plants, in order to raise the quality of life of communities and society. BGC team will explore water resources in the area and discusses the problems that occur in the community. We study and determine guidelines for developing wastewater management by planning a systematic drainage to reduce the amount of wastewater from household. At the same time, we install solar-powered water turbines to treat wastewater in order to increase oxygen in the water allowing bacteria to grow and digest organic matter faster. Furthermore, the team works on developing and improving the scenery around water resources to make it more appealing. We also organize activities in order to drive people in the community to work together in improving the environment as well as creating awareness on the importance of natural resources usage.

ริเริ่มเมื่อปี 2561 เป็นโครงการที่ส่งเสริมการอนุรักษ์ฟื้นฟูทรัพยากรทางน้ำอย่างเป็นรูปธรรมแก่ชุมชนในบริเวณพื้นที่ใกล้เคียงโรงงาน เพื่อยกระดับคุณภาพชีวิตของชุมชนและสังคม โดยทีมงาน CSR ของบีจีซีจะลงพื้นที่สำรวจแหล่งน้ำในชุมชน พูดคุยถึงปัญหาที่เกิดขึ้นในชุมชน เพื่อศึกษาและกำหนดแนวทางในการพัฒนาปรับปรุงปัญหาน้ำเสีย โดยการวางผังระบายน้ำอย่างเป็นระบบ เพื่อลดปริมาณน้ำเสียครัวเรือนที่ปล่อยลงสู่แหล่งน้ำ พร้อมติดตั้งกังหันบำบัดน้ำเสียด้วยพลังงานแสงอาทิตย์ เพื่อเพิ่มค่าออกซิเจนในน้ำช่วยให้แบคทีเรียสามารถขยายตัวและย่อยสารอินทรีย์ได้เร็วยิ่งขึ้น ควบคู่กับการพัฒนาและปรับปรุงทัศนียภาพแหล่งน้ำในชุมชนให้น่าอยู่ยิ่งขึ้น อีกทั้งยังมีการจัดกิจกรรมที่ช่วยขับเคลื่อนให้คนในชุมชนเกิดความร่วมมือร่วมใจในการพัฒนาสิ่งแวดล้อม สร้างจิตสำนึกให้คนในชุมชนตระหนักถึงความสำคัญในการใช้ทรัพยากรธรรมชาติอย่างคุ้มค่า
